Prof Stratos Pistikopoulos, CTO

Stratos is a founding director of ParOS, directly responsible for the development of the company's Intellectual Property Assets, and managing key strategic industrial partnerships for the company.

After gaining his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1988, he worked for Shell in Amsterdam as a research chemical engineer, joining Imperial College as a lecturer in 1991. He was appointed Professor in 1999, Director of the Centre or Process Systems Engineering (CPSE) at Imperial College London (2002-2005), and CEO of ParOS in 2006. In 2007 he became Chief Technology Officer. As Professor of Chemical Engineering and CPSE director, Stratos has many years of experience at the forefront of modelling and control technology. He co founded ParOS in 2002 as a spinout from CPSE and negotiated a pipeline agreement with Imperial College for the company to have first call for commercialising any relevant future research from CPSE.

Stratos has written or co-authored over 200 research publications in the area of optimisation and process systems engineering application.
